Floral Color Bible
155 floral color studies of Color inspired by floral bouquets I've picked up along the wayThe Color Library is my evolving collection of original palettes developed for Rosarium Strata, drawn from years of studying flowers, bouquets, and foliage. Much of that source material has come from countless trips with my husband through grocery store flower departments, florists, garden centers, markets, and anywhere else we happen to find something blooming.
My art teacher in my sophomore year of high school always stressed the importance of choosing your palette first and to dedicate a good amount of time to it. Since then I have always, always loved taking the time to build palettes. I could happily spend hours face deep in color swatches, you should see me at the Home Depot paint section…I call that delicious for my eyeballs and spiritually that includes my third eye as well. I have been in the process of creating this color bible since my 2nd child was born in 2017.

I’m sharing one full library card here as a glimpse into how deeply each palette has been developed, followed by the complete collection in color. The rest of the working language stays in my private Rosarium Strata archive.
